Cutter Group makes history by scooping a second Fujitsu Global SELECT Innovation Award

Following on from the award in 2016, Cutter was once again recognised for delivering a project that puts people at the centre of a technology solution.

The project that garnered the award was for New College Worcester, a specialist school in the UK for blind and visually impaired children.  Technology is crucial for the school to offer a cutting edge learning environment for their pupils, helping them develop to their full potential and access more opportunities in life.

The school was faced with the challenging of an aging IT infrastructure which was hampering the development of the learning delivery.  Cutter, working closely with Fujitsu’s education team, were able to overhaul this aging environment and also to create flexibility that enabled the school to continue to deliver effective activities during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Cutter Managing Director, Andy Trevor, said “We were delighted to be able to support New College Worcester in this project.  Cutter and Fujitsu have a long and successful track-record in collaborative solution delivery in education all over the world, and this was another opportunity deliver technology that really changes people’s lives for the better”.

Cutter was shortlisted, along with other technologists with innovative solutions from across Europe, for the top award and was selected by a Fujitsu panel to lift the trophy for a second time.  Due to the global pandemic, the annual Fujitsu Forum gathering in Munich had to be virtual and Cutter’s win was announced to the channel community by Fujitsu’s Head of Channel – Product Business Europe, Fernanda Catarino.

Cutter firmly believes in the importance of technology delivering better outcomes for people – the recognition of this project as another example of Cutter’s Human Centric approach to technology is one that we are all extremely proud of.
